Debridement is a central component of wound care.
The sterile LIGASANO® wound dressings with the additional designation "Wound cleaning sponges" are only intended to remain on or in the wound for a short time in order to quickly achieve a "clean" wound - one of the prerequisites for wound healing.
Depending on the type and quantity of the coatings, you have three different wound cleaning sponges to choose from; a combination can be particularly useful.
LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges intensive
removes very stubborn, tough, solid and/or necrotic coatings, can absorb a lot of detritus.
LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges medium
removes tough, solid and/or necrotic coatings, can absorb a lot of detritus.
LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges soft
removes soft coatings and biofilm.
The LIGASANO® Wound cleaning sponges lead to an optimal cleaning result both with the rotating technique (180° rotation) and with the wiping technique (wiping in only one direction).

The size 5x5x2cm lies well in the hand.
► Effective & economical
Depending on the pressure you apply, you can vary the intensity of the wound cleaning effect from strong to gentle as required. Due to the structure of LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges, you do not spread the coatings, but remove them from the wound.
► Hygienic
Either three pieces in a peelpack (one green, one orange, one white) or individually packed. This allows you to clean the wound from the covered surface to the wound bed again and again with a clean LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponge. LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges can be used on several sides.
Mechanical debridement can cause pain, even with the LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges! Please pay attention to sufficient analgesia if necessary. Moistening with wound irrigation solution can be useful.
Patients under anti-coagulation therapy (e.g. with Marcumar® or ASS) must undergo an appropriate risk assessment. As with all wound treatments with LIGASANO®, the procedure may only be carried out by physicians or medically trained persons instructed by physicians.

The new LIGASANO® wound cleaning sponges interdigital for areas where you can hardly get.
They have the same properties as the standard wound cleaning sponges and are specially designed for the interdigital area and undermined wounds or wound pockets.
